The blend
Cuir Sauvage is the most restrained thing we make, and the one that took longest to get right.
It opens green and slightly bitter — juniper, a scrape of grapefruit peel — before settling into leather and vetiver. Tobacco leaf arrives late and turns the whole thing warm without ever making it sweet.
It is a working fragrance. Meetings, drives, cold weather, a jacket you have owned for years.

Proper grown-up fragrance
The green opening is sharp for the first ten minutes and then it settles into leather and stays there all day. Wore it to interviews twice. Both went well, make of that what you will.

Better in cold weather
In June it was a bit much for me. Come November it is going to be perfect. The vetiver is very well done and the tobacco arrives right when you want it to.
